Experienced Non-Executive Director
Ken Rivers is an experienced chair and non-executive director. He has significant experience of working with government and regulators in the oil and chemical sectors. Ken has been a CEO of a listed company and held senior positions within Shell.
He has skills and experience relevant to high reliability organisations operating in regulated environments where safety is critical.
Ken is a past President of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and helped lead the organisation through a fundamental review of its strategy & governance.
He is also a former President of UK Petroleum Industry Association. He lead the Midstream Oil Sector Government & Industry Task Force which considered ways of improving the resilience & viability of UK refining and fuel import sector following the government review in 2014.
